Jonathan Harris

Opening for country music Hall of Famers and other country stars, singer/songwriter Jonathan Harris has proven he is on the way to becoming a star himself. Born and raised in the Tacoma area, Jonathan knows and loves what it means to grow up in Washington. His music reflects his northwest lifestyle and the other loves of his life. He was named as one of five top country artists in the nation by Jim Beam along with Keith Anderson and is proud to own the custom Jim Beam Les Paul guitar they presented him with on his birthday.



He has been honored to warm the stage for a group of national country artists that reads like a who's who list: Travis Tritt, Miranda Lambert, Merle Haggard, Charlie Daniel's Band, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Gary Allen, Asleep At The Wheel, Hal Ketchum, Sammy Kershaw, Trick Pony, Rhett Akins, Chad Brock, Daryle Singletary, Jeff Carson, She Daisy, Mark Chesnutt and BlackHawk.



Jonathan is on the exclusive list of artists who have performed for a standing governor and standing president of the USA.



The spring of 2010 has marked the release of Jonathan's new hit single "Thanks To You I'm Free".



“Thanks To You I’m Free” gained national attention last December when it was chosen for a video montage at the public memorial in the Tacoma Dome for our four slain Lakewood Police Officers. In January of this year, when Pierce County Deputy Kent Mundell lost his life in the line of duty, Jonathan was asked to sing this song at his public memorial. The song described the gratefulness the community felt for these brave men and women who gave their lives. At the request of the Caron Family, Jonathan also had the honor of performing his song at the public funeral of U. S. Army Paratrooper, Specialist Joey Caron, and a Washington State resident who was recently killed in bomb blast.



For the last two of months, at the request of U.S. Army Officials at Joint Based Lewis McChord, Jonathan has played his song for troops returning from Afghanistan. To this date he has welcomed home thousands of our country's military and handed them a free copy of the single to take home with them. Hundreds of the CDs were sponsored by local businesses and signed by elementary students who have now learned a valuable lesson about sacrifices our soldiers make to protect their freedom.
