Nathan James David Arneson was born March 20th 1973 in the small town of Fort St. John, British Columbia. If you have ever driven from anywhere to Alaska, you have driven through this town. Growing up in the Rocky Mountain foothills of northern Canada, Nathan developed a great love and understanding of the outdoors. He still continues to get outside the city whenever time permits.

At a very early age Nathan showed a true passion for music, not just country, but all genres of music. From piano lessons at six, to studying the violin for two and a half years at Northern Lights College, it wasn't until Nathan picked up his father's guitar that he found the perfect tool for his songwriting. Winning a few singing contests and receiving very positive feedback on his original material, he decided to move south in order to feed his ever increasing appetite for creating music. After much traveling up and down the west coast, Nathan decided to settle in Seattle. Having most of his immediate family within minutes also had a bearing on this decision. Discovering the vast variety of genres and cross-genres of music made Seattle a perfect choice.

In 1996 Mrs. Bronwyn Edwards Cryer, the creator of a band that later became known as Latigo Lace, auditioned Nathan and several auditions later, asked Nathan to front this newly formed band. In the spring of 1998, Mark Collins became the band leader and has taken this band to its successful present situation. After a total of five and half years over the last eight with Latigo Lace, Nathan decided to pursue a new path.

February 2006, a collaboration between a veteran of the Motown scene and a seasoned country rock entertainer saw the birth of what was Nathan Chance and NorthCoast. Opening for such national acts as, Kenny Chesney, Big and Rich, Dierks Bentley, Gretchen Wilson, Blaine Larsen, Martina McBride, SHeDAISY, Brooks & Dunn, Sugarland, George Strait, Ronnie Milsap, Taylor Swift, Rascal Flatts, Jason Aldean, Pat Green, Emerson Drive, Kenny Loggins and Gary Allan. Although the duo enjoyed some great shows and found alot of support in the pacific northwest, Nathan did not find the creative satisfaction that he craved.

With much thought and deliberation Nathan has decided to pursue his lifelong passion in music as a solo act.
