Fresh from their Custom Series, the Vox AC10 bridges the gap between the AC4 and the AC15, for players who want the portability of an ultra-compact machine and the raw tube grunt of a bigger amplifier. The AC10 Custom is no slouch in the features department, featuring two 12ax7s feeding two EL84s, which drive a single 10-inch speaker. Of course, this means nothing without a good speaker, and the AC10 delivers, featuring a custom VX10 speaker that is designed by speaker legends Celestion. The legendary "Top Boost" sound is alive and well in the AC10C1, and the beefiness of the power section ensures that sweet undeniably british top boost comes roaring forth at earlier positions on the master volume knob. Adding a dirt or boost pedal in front only enhances the tube saturation and allows full-on tube snarl at very manageable volumes. Lastly, there's an onboard reverb that was specially designed for this 1x10 combo, and it's capable of subtle textures to some seriously vast 'verbage.
