The "Liquidmation" technique combines traditional stop-motion cinematography with several modern digital tools used in all the "wrong" ways. Utilizing motion-stabilization, frame-interpolation, and High Dynamic Range (HDR) imaging, the technique embraces the rough edges and digital artifacts they create when pushed to the extreme, instead of hiding these digital tricks as is the norm. "Liquidmation" takes what are normally considered flaws in digital production, and makes them a part of the look itself.
