ArtVoice: Billy Thompson - Video
PUBLISHED:  Nov 18, 2013
DESCRIPTION:
Billy Thompson while a Berkeley Springs resident, has electrified audiences in the U.S. and throughout Europe. We first saw him play at a fundraiser for the local library. His virtuosic guitar was amazing! We later discovered that he has played with legends such as Little Milton, Albert King, Earl King, and Art Neville, while opening for the likes of Robert Cray, B.B. King, Sonny Landreth, The Neville Brothers and Joe Cocker, to name a few. Turns out Billy has performed on Barbara Walter's "The View", with the San Diego Symphony, the 2002 Super Bowl celebration as well as for the grand opening of L.A.'s House of Blues.

We taped Billy and his Traveling Band performing Interlude, a track from his lastest album "Friend." This new release is receiving rave reviews and heavy airplay worldwide. You can follow Billy on his wensite: http://www.billythompsonmusic.com/.

ArtVoice (http://artvoicewv.wordpress.com) is an original online series produced by 78 Degrees West Films (http://www.78degreeswest.com).

We shot this video at Billy's house in Berkeley Springs the day after the band had performed at Mountain Stage in Mogantown. Our main gear was the Canon XF300 camcorder. The video was edited and graded in FCP X.
