DESCRIPTION:
Two voices, a double-bass and percussions. The meeting of these different instruments gives life to a project which invites us to explore different states of our human condition and our deepest essential emotions. Lullabys, serenades, sailor songs and other music inspired by European traditions are enriched with personal arrangements and compositions. For Muziekpublique's 10 years of existence Emanuela Lodato and Vincent Noiret bring a version of La Virrineda, a traditional song from Sicily, which is known from the version of Rosa Balistreri. This love song tells the story of a man who wants to drill a hole in the door of the girl he is in love with so he can see her undresses.

Twee stemmen: die van een contrabassist en die van een Siciliaanse zangeres die ook percussie speelt. Samen spelen ze wiegeliedjes, serenades, zeemansliedjes en andere muziekstukjes geïnspireerd door Europese en vooral Italiaanse tradities, verrijkt met persoonlijke arrangementen en composities... Emanuela Lodato en Vincent Noiret brengen voor 10 jaar Muziekpublique La Virrineda, een traditioneel lied uit Sicilië, dat bekend is van de versie van Rosa Balistreri. Dit liefdeslied vertelt het verhaal van een man die een gat wil boren in de deur van het meisje waar hij verliefd op is zodat hij kan zien hoe ze zich uitkleedt. In België is het liedje misschien bekend als Stalen Boor, een vertaling van Wannes Vandevelde voor Mistero Buffo.

La rencontre de ces éléments donne vie à un projet qui nous invite à explorer différents états de notre condition humaine, de nos émotions les plus essentielles. Berceuses, sérénades, chants de marins, et autres musiques inspirées par les traditions d'Europe; s'enrichissent ici d'arrangements et de compositions personnelles. A l'occasion des 10 ans de Muziekpublique Emanuela Lodato et Vincent Noiret interprètent La Virrineda, une chanson traditionelle sicilienne qui est connue de la version de Rosa Balistreri. Cette chanson d'amour parle d'un prétendant qui voudrait faire un trou dans la porte de son amoureuse avec un vrille pour la regarder se déshabiller.
