“On The Rio” was written in New Mexico, near the Rio Grande River. Yes, perspective is everything. If you’re looking north to the river it’s the Rio Bravo. If you’re looking south to the river it’s the Rio Grand. If you’re close enough to touch it and you’re proud of where you stand…it’s the Rio Grande.
