DESCRIPTION:
Shemsi Kamaj-Mushkolaj is a German singer and songwriter. Shemsi is born and raised in Germany. She is a singer, songwriter and a teacher living now in the Netherlands.
Shemsi came to fame in 1999 with her first released single 'Say you will be mine' by universal records which was produced by Michael B and Pommez di Lorenzo in Germany.
Following the release of the two other singles 'reality' and 'Will you be my friend', she decided to postpone her music career until she finishes her studies (teaching profession).

Few years laster, after her graduation, she comes back to the music arena which is part of her soul.
Shemsi's music talent was discovered initially by her older sister Ylli, who always supported her in every single way. Later on she was discovered by many producers...

Shemsi made it through MTV and VIVA (the german music channel).
In 1999 when Shemsi was 17 years old, she signed her first big contract at the universal records.

She won the title of The beautiful face in 1998 in her city Dortmund and was modeling for the famous store H&M.
In 2002 Shemsi also performed in front of 2,8 million people in the preliminary decision of Germany of the euro vision song contest with Verena Stanley (Unity 2).

The euro-vision event was the last official performance of Shemsi, upon her decision. A few years later she came back on stage in the Voice of Holland 2010 where she made it through the lifeshows (Shemsi Mushkolaj).
Shemsi wants to pursue her career as a singer, because she believes:
'Music is the sense of my life, the reason why I'm here on earth!"
