DESCRIPTION:
Brian Wilson and Van Dyke Parks talk about a Beach Boys album called "Smile" which was supposed to be released in 1967 but was discarded for various reasons.
This clip is a cutout from the documentary "The Beach Boys: An American Band" released on VHS-tape back in 1985. I do not own the material and all rights go to Vestron Musicvideo.

This VHS-cassette has been digitized with a Philips 6-head HI-FI stereo VCR from the late 90's.
It's captured in 25fps, 1280x720i resolution. Processing was made in a program called Virtualdub. The video was exported as a .x264 videofile at ~4000kbps before being uploaded to youtube.
The stereo audio track is captured at 320kpbs with LAME-codec, but youtube degrades it further.
