Valley of The Vapors, An Independent Music Festival Documentary - Video
PUBLISHED:  Feb 23, 2013
DESCRIPTION:
Hot Springs, Arkansas is known for its national park, spring water, crystals, Native American history, gangsters and gambling. It is a small Southern town of 35,000 people, with rednecks, retirees and crystal digging hippies, so why does an underground music festival featuring some of the world's most innovative rock, punk, indie and experimental music exist in Hot Springs, Arkansas? Valley of the Vapors is a fast-paced and beautifully shot film that looks into the heart of the volunteers who make it happen and the surprise of the bands and artists who unexpectedly fall into the warm embrace of America's most humble music festival, The Valley of the Vapors. Featuring performances and interviews with Maps & Atlases, Oberhofer, Kelly Deal, Grandchildren, Love of Everything, Jeffrey Lewis, Jack Toft, Yuri Landman, Pond, The Black Belles, Japanther and Water Liars. Directed by Matt McCormack and Jim Miller - 38:00 minutes

Support for Low Key Arts is provided, in part, by The Arkansas Arts Council, an agency of the Department of Heritage, and the National Endowment for the Arts.
