Yoshida Tatsuya
One of the most innovative drummer/composer/improviser in japanese avant-garde music scene.
Born in 1961. Began playing proffesionally in early '80s. Made his own group "Ruins" in 1985, which is only Drums and Bass unit.
"Ruins" plays very uinque high energy music that is mixture of comtenporary music, hard core and progressive rock.
"Ruins" has got a lot of great reviews in and out of Japan, and have a lot of tours very often.
Yoshida also has many other groups as a leader, "Koenjihyakkei" "ZUBIZUVA" "AKATEN" "KOREKYOJIN". He has been collaborate with JOHN ZORN, FRED FRITH, DEREK BAILEY, KEIJI HAINO, YOSHIHIDE OTOMO, etc...

I have been taking part in the internationally acclaimed Japanese free Avant-Grade jazz rock groups like Shibusa Shirazu Orchestra and Satoko Fujii Orchestra. I have been playing with many domestic/overseas musicians including Ned Rothenberg (sax), William Parker (b), Fill Minton (voice), Peter Brotzmann(sax) and has been touring worldwide. I operate my own label, where I records and produces his own as well as other artists' music. I have released numerous albums, including Kenichi Matsumoto Duo guest Usui Yasuhiro, Satoko Fujii Orchestra Nagoya, Don't Walk on the Cat Side, Volcanic Island - Usui Yasuhiro & Elliott Sharp, Thrgouth The Deep Forest, and many others. Japanese saxophonist,composer,and recording artist.The official own label for the Rrecords. I also participates in jazz, rock, funk, rhythm & blues and hiphop bands, and be part of various recording sessions.In 2007, I formed my own band, "ryorchestra". I use own language, "Language R", to compose and write lyrics. Some tracks have dramatic movements liks progressive rock, and some has clear classical variation. Lately for my solo, I uses "non-breath" Circular breathing and multi-phonics to explore and pursue endless, It's rich and complex sounds.
