DESCRIPTION:
In April 2012, the European Union Youth Orchestra performed six concerts in the United States of America, under the baton of its Music Director, Vladimir Ashkenazy. The tour saw the young musicians - drawn from all 27 EU Member States - perform at Memorial Hall, UNC, in North Carolina; the Kennedy Center in Washington DC; Carnegie Hall in New York; Symphony Hall in Boston; the IU Auditorium at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana; and the Pick-Staiger Concert Hall at Northwestern University, in Evanston, Illinois.

The EUYO's Spring Tour 2012 was supported by the European Union Delegation to the US, the 27 EU Member States, the Friends of the British Council, the British Council and the Official Airline Partners Delta, KLM, Air France and Alitalia.
