Uniform are Alice Kemp, Wajid Yaseen and recently joined by Yoshi Shinagawa; 3 sound artists who have decided to buy back their souls from the devil who's apparently had enough of themsticking to the old adage that the devil has the best tunes, their souls are now imbued with the strangest and most subtlest of contortions and so as a result, they now create a dark blend of fractured electronic soundscapes with the odd trombone and bowed guitar thrown in.their current modus operandi is to collaborate with live art and movement specialists and have worked with the likes of Franko B, Gavin Bryers, Candocotheir second album titled 'Protocol', released on the Planet Mu label includes a cast of renowned off-kilter artists including Lydia Lunch, Alan Vega from Suicide, Dalek, Franko B, Terry Edwards and Olga Naiman.



a forum/discussion board is now up and running on the Uniform site where we're hoping to get some lively debates going about sonic art, live-art and anything else worth it's weight in saltour intention is to combine takes on academic practise within contemporary music and sonic art with the urgency and intensity of rock n rollwe will at some point be creating an FTP upload area where people can post mp3's and soundclips but it will be strictly for experimental compositions from the past to the present with the intention of sharing and discussing work.anything other than challenging or academic work will be binnedthe forum itself still doesn't look totally right yet but we dont want to get pedantic about itit'll get better as we go alongyou're invited to join
