My Mom recently passed away, and I had to go through everything in her house. One of the things I came across was old 4-track master recordings of tracks I produced back in the mid 90's.

"We Can Do This" was first recorded in 1995, and featured Solka's girlfriend, Shonda on the "phone calls". This was all done on an ASR-10 Keyboard, Tascam 4-track recorder, and recently remastered and totally revamped in Sony Vegas.

Solka had some nice raw talent and I liked working with him. He was introduced to me by Mike E (see Chillin in Da Hut). There are several tracks with Solka that I'll be posting on here. My personal favorites are "Hey Miss" and "We Can Do This." We made several tracks together from 1994 - 1996, some of which went up against other local talent on WEAA 88.9 in Baltimore, and won out multiple weeks in a row.. Once he started a family, he just kind of stopped writing as far as I know. Hey Solka! If you run across this - contact me!!!
