Prophets, Seers & Sages: The Angels of the Ages is the second album by Tyrannosaurus Rex, comprising Marc Bolan (vocals, guitar) and Steve Peregrine Took (bongos, African drums, kazoo, pixiephone, Chinese gong). It was released on 14 October 1968 but failed to chart upon first release. This album was paired with My People Were Fair and Had Sky in Their Hair... But Now They're Content to Wear Stars on Their Brows (1968) and released in 1972 as the double album Tyrannosaurus Rex: A Beginning, following the success of T. Rex's Electric Warrior (1971) and The Slider (1972). This re-released edition of the album reached #1 in the UK Albums Chart.
