The Van Buren Boys

O.K., Here's what happened.

Mid-'09, Jake quit the band due to creative differences and personal issues. He was then quickly replaced by our good friend and amazing musician, Jon Pettis. We then briefly stopped doing shows to write new music. During this time, (10.9.09) a fire engulfed Jon,Higgins, and 5 other roommates' home in the early morning hours. Jon died due to smoke inhalation.

We are still taking donations for Jon's fiancee and the Pettis scholarship(for musicians) being set up back in his home town in Massachusetts

Now here's what happening

We will all continue making music for Jon but no longer as The Van Buren Boys. New bands are in the works and other bands are still playing. Come see some of us in Hobomouth and Jesse Moore's East Cameron Folkcore.
