Ed Vera aka Turtled, he is an electronic music producer who was born in Caracas, Venezuela. He was a member of the no longer existing Dikru Audiovisual Collective of Caracas. He started as DJ focused on the liquidfunk, neurofunk, jazz, soul, disco and funk. Currently, he is member of Vibez Recordings artistic staff since 2006, by contributing with his themes "Amnesia" and "Nago", this last theme was created along with the DJ and producer Emmerson, in the project titled Turtled & Emmerson (E.T). He belongs to All Street Recordings, a Brasilian record headed by Simplification with his theme "Histeria" and W10 with his track "Just U", a record label headed by Danny Wheeler. His style is characterized by the afro-Caribbean drum and the synthesizer sound mixed with acoustic atmospheres and nuances. Turtled is supported by excellent artists such as Atlantic Conection (Westbay), Dj Patife (Trauma Records, Liquid V), Danny Wheeler (W10), Utah Jazz (Liquid V), Fusion (Ipswich Community) Radio Spectrum), Stunna (Defunked, Phuzion), Haze (Red Mist Recordings), Miss Ficel (Parisjuana), Paul Saint Jack (Funk Star Records), among others. His music has been broadcast in British radio stations such as "Londons Rude" 88.2 FM, headed by DJ Shine, "Origin 95.2 FM", "The Fuzed Funk Show of Jason Magin", "Itstooloud Radio", "Chorizo Show", with Dj Emmerson in Rebel Radio and SubFM, Bassdrive Radio, "Araguaney Sessions" with Carl Matthes, "The Greenroom of Stunna, and "Artillery Reload" with Overfiend. His music is also broadcast in South American radio stations and local radios in Venezuela. Turtled is producing 2 step, dubstep, alternative, electro and experimental music, he belongs to the "Venezuela Electronica Vol.2", "Venezuela Electronica Vol.3" and "Venezuela Electronica Vol. 4" compilations. He has also cooperated producing remix for Venezuelan bands such as Chuck Norris, Babylon Motorhome and Electrometro. Currently, he makes his music contribution to Phuzion Records with his most recent production named "Tropico", a music piece that shows innovation and a better use of the Caribbean elements, the strings and original sounds compared to his liquid funk¨s timid begin. "Tropico" is now available in format 12" since last October 2009 in music stores.
