DESCRIPTION: A short movie about the Music Mentoring Project - Love Abridged, which was put together by London based internationally respected Jazz pianist, composer and educator Trevor Watkis.
The idea was to work with a select group young artists - using the theme of Love & Romance, they took some popular songs and gave them a Jazz flavour. The musicians worked on reinterpretations and rearrangements of the songs during a series of workshop sessions, assisted by award winning saxophonist Tony Kofi and the wonderful vocalist and songwriter ESKA. After the workshop sessions were completed the young musicians performed the songs at some great interesting and unusual locations in LONDON on Valentine's Day February 14th 2013. Including The Emirates Air Line (Cable Car/Terminal) - Greenwich Peninsula. The locations all have a connected underlying theme which is linked together by water, bridges, and transport.
