"There are only two kinds of songs; there's the blues, and there's zip-a-dee-doo-dah." ---Townes Van Zandt

"Great music is that which penetrates the ear with facility and leaves the memory with difficulty." ---Sir Thomas Beecham

"They teach you theres a boundary line to music. But man, theres no boundary line to art." ---Charlie Parker

On the moonlit patio of a courtyard café in Santa Monica, California, Traildriver was borne of a regular Sunday-evening singer-songwriter appreciation society. Jared Petrich and Keith Palmer uncovered a musical kinship there, creating a melodic eclectic mix of Americana, alt-country, indie rock, country, and folk music. Traildriver conjures passionate, honest and heartfelt music that speaks to your soul, and will most likely compel you to sing along in your car. Consider yourself warned.

Together now for five years, Jared (vocals, guitars, harmonica), Keith (drums, harms) and Anna Rosales (bass, harms) are inspired by a myriad of music: The Beatles, Dylan, The Band, The Pogues, Tom Petty, Tom Waits, and Ryan Adams to name a few. "We bring different and overlapping backgrounds and influences with us when we write. Coming at the music from two different angles makes our collaboration unique yet we'll often reach for the same idea at the same time." (says Keith)

Currently recording and producing their forthcoming album Music from a Small Room is an experience filled with discoveries. "Once you've been living with the songs, playing them live and daydreaming of what other elements you might infuse them with, the studio is luxurious." (says Jared). "The structure of the song is already built and sturdy, and so then it becomes 'What color are you going to paint the house?'"

Ever-conscious that the best art stems from those who do what they love and remain true to that, they look forward to playing at any bar full of regulars compelled to sing along. And as their music becomes well-received by a wider audience, they are happy to share it.
