Tracy Silverman performs his Matisse: La Danse (2013) from his new album, Between the Kiss and the Chaos (Delos). Tribeca New Music 2014 Festival, June 23, at Nancy Manocherian's - The Cell in New York City.

Matisse: La Danse is the second movement from the electric violin concerto Between the Kiss and the Chaos, from the new CD of the same name. It’s based on the painting by Matisse in which 5 figures dance in a circle. Using a loop pedal, Tracy introduces and layers 5 distinct musical personalities and has them playing a chord progression called a circle of fifths, which has no beginning and no end, representing the dance circle.
