DESCRIPTION:
The Missionary Jubilaires were one of the top gospel vocal groups in Asbury Park, New Jersey. They're still around and playing concerts. This album on Harlem-based label Locus Records was probably released in the mid-seventies.

I've recently decided to incorporate as much biographical information as I can track down about the groups whose records I post, and I'm going back through former posts as time permits to add as much information as possible. Names and biographies of group members, other groups that they played in, dates of releases, home cities of groups, information about labels - really anything is useful. The men and women who gave glory with this great music deserve to be remembered better.
