DESCRIPTION: "Towanda is a Montreal-based power trio making inspired noises lying somewhere at the intersections of punk and metal. Formed in the filthy jamspaces of Montreal during the spring of 2013, Towanda was created by three women from disparate music scenes looking to be the band that they never saw in any of their respective music scenes – in a representational and aesthetic sense - growing up and at current. Towanda band members Claire Paquet, Emily Smits and Rosie Gripton are on a personal crusade to fight the good fight against boring music and boring bands.
