DESCRIPTION:
Thomas Stevens, Trumpet, with Ralph Grierson, Piano in a 1971 recording of Iain Hamilton's "Five Scenes" (1966) for Trumpet and Piano, originally released on the now defunct Avant Record Label. The scenes are titled Wild-Nocturnal-Declamato-Nocturnal-Brilliant.
Special performance note for trumpeters: The decision was made to change the final pitch of the third scene from c natural from c sharp to for the trumpet part to match the piano arpeggio. This decision was made in error: The correct pitch is c natural.
