DESCRIPTION:
Albuquerque-based tour and session bassist Zach Fowler performs some sound examples on the PB Series Bass, the newest bass offering from Carvin Guitars! This particular instrument is equipped with the optional Jazz Bass (single-coil) pickup at the bridge along with active/passive electronics (PJAC) in addition to the standard P-Bass (split-coil) pickup designed by Carvin. This bass has an alder body with a plain maple top, five-piece maple neck with flame maple fingerboard. The strings are the original stock strings that came with the bass, which were designed for Carvin by LaBella.

Note: For this recording, the bass was sent directly to ProTools via a Radial JDV direct box and a PreSonus interface. The EQ on the bass as well as on the computer are set flat...no audio enhancements, no compression, no plug-ins, NOTHING. Just the bass, an active DI, and an interface. Everything is set flat to help you give to most pure sound impression of the instrument.
