DESCRIPTION:
Eva Maria Balkenhol and Thomas Michael Körber are a purely acoustic formation consisting of guitar, vocals, and cajon (a percussion instrument resembling a wooden box). The songs were written by the artists themselves and display a handwriting of their own: authentic, hand-made and inspired by the good old rhythm and blues and rock traditions, as if to say "back to the roots!" The common denominator of their songs is the atmosphere, which reminds us of cozy old bars, lonesome nights in the rain, and summer evenings with a glass of whisky in our hands: dark, warm, honest, sometimes loud, sometimes soft, sometimes seeming to give us a wink, but never losing their sense of humor and the pure joy of making music.
