[Português] - Tó Brandileone nesceu e cresceu na cidade de São Paulo. Hoje, aos 23 anos de idade, já tem um disco lançado [Tó Brandileone/2008], está finalizando o segundo [Feliz pra Cachorro/2010] e pré produzindo o terceiro [A grama do vizinho] - que tem previsão de lançamento para 2011. Desde 2006 Tó transita entre suas canções, composição de trilhas originais para cinema e teatro, turnês internacionais, produção e direção musical de inúmeros projetos. Em 2009 participou como violonista da turnê europeia da cantora Giana Viscardi. Em 2010 fez sua segunda turnê pela Polônia passando pelas principais cidades e casas de show do país e tocando uma amostra da nova geração da canção brasileira. "Tenho um carinho muito grande pela Polônia, pelo povo polonês e pelos amigos que fiz. A minha música é muito bem recebida por lá". Atualmente, Tó integra o projeto 5 a seco - ao lado de mais 4 jovens compositores - que tem se apresentado em São Paulo com grande aceitação do público e da crítica. Nesse projeto, que tem por objetivo a experimentação de repertório e a exploração de uma postura cênica das canções, Tó se revela um músico polivalente e versátil tocando diversos instrumentos [piano, percussão, acordeon, clarinete e baixo], além de ser responsável por parte dos arranjos do espetáculo. "O intuito nesse show não é me mostrar um multi instrumentista, um virtuoso, mas realçar a teatralidade das canções, jogar com as sensações da platéia." Apesar de jovem, Tó traz na bagagem muitas experiências vividas ao lado de artístas consagrados da nossa música como Ivan Lins, Chico Cesar, Lenine, Vicente Barreto e Celso Viáfora. Desses encontros nasceram algumas parecerias e muita história boa pra contar. Desde o lançamento do seu primeiro CD, Tó já teve a honra de se apresentar e gravar com grandes nomes da cena instrumental brasileira como: Toninho Ferraguitti [acordeon], Ulisses Rocha [violão], André Mehmari [piano], Serginho Carvalho [baixo], Marcelo Mariano [baixo], Edu Ribeiro [bateria], Caíto Marcondes [percussão] e Quinteto da Paraíba [quinteto de cordas]. Suas canções também podem ser ouvidas nas vozes de Tatiana Parra, Joana Duah, Graça Cunha, Pedro Mariano, Luiza Possi, Thais Bonizzi e Dani Gurgel. Entre seus próximos projetos estão a gravação de seu terceiro CD, a produção do segundo disco de Vinicius Calderoni e a gravação do DVD do projeto 5 a seco, previsto para junho de 2010.

Tó Brandileone was born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil. Today, at the age of 23, he has already released an album (Tó Brandileone/2008), and he is finishing his second one (Feliz pra Cachorro/2010) and pre-producing the third (A Grama do Vizinho) – which is expected to be released in 2011. “The artistic experimentation is a trademark of many of this new generation of composers. We have cutting-edge technology at hand, which not long ago was available only to big record labels. Besides, we have full access to music from all over the world with just a few mouse clicks. The amount of information that we ingest and digest is getting greater and greater; it is natural that the speed of creation increases so we can follow the demands of our minds.” Since 2007, Tó has been alternating between his songs, original soundtracks for the movies and theater, international tours, production, arrangements and musical directing of several projects. In 2009, he participated in the European tour of singer Giana Viscardi (Br), as a guitar player, along Jacques Figueiras (Fr) and Zé Luis Nascimento (Br). In January 2010 he went on his second tour in Poland, followed by pianist Kuba Palys (Pl), touring the main cities and concert halls of the country, playing a sample of Brazil’s new generation music – so unknown and at the same time so familiar to the European ears. Nowadays, Tó takes part in the project “5 a seco” – along four other young composers – who have been touring São Paulo with great acceptance by the public. In this project, which aims at a repertoire experimentation and the exploration of a theatrical posture of the songs, Tó stands as a multitalented and versatile musician, playing several instruments [piano, percussion, accordion, clarinet and bass guitar], besides being responsible for part of the arrangements of the show. “The intention of this show is not to show myself off as a multi-instrumentalist, a virtuoso, but to highlight the theatricality of the songs, playing with music and with the sensations of the public.” It looks like nowadays we live a transition which wants to knock down the walls between arts and people. When such walls be knocked down, Tó Brandileone will be close to see it. Among his next projects, there is the musical production of Giana Viscardi’s next album, besides the participation in the next European tour of this singer in late 2010, the co-production of Vinicius Calderoni’s second album and the recording of the 5 a seco project’s first DVD.

[Deutsch] Von Beruf Komponist, Gitarrist, Arangeur und Sänger, ist Tó Brandileone 1986 in São Paulo, Brasilien geboren. Schon als Kind lernte er vier Jahre lang das Klavierspiel, Harmonie und Improvsation bei der Pianistin Débora Gurgel. Im Alter von 18 Jahren begann er, bei Ulisses Rocha Gitarre zu lernen und schrieb sich in einen Kurs für Komponisten und Dirigenten der Universität Santa Marcelina ein. Ein Jahr später brachte er seine erste CD heraus, in der er große Namen der brasilianischen Instrumentalmusik vereint: Toninho Ferragutti (Akkordeon), Ulisses Rocha (Gitarre), Edu Ribeiro (Schlagzeug) und Itamar Collaço (Kontrabaß). Im Jahr 2007 begann er in der Film- und Theatermusikbranche zu erbeiten, und seither widmet er einen großen Teil seiner Studien diesem Gebiet der Komposition. Nach der Herausgabe seiner ersten CD nahm er an einer Tournée durch 16 polnische Städte mit dem Projekt Brasil Cantado (Gesungende Brasilien) teil, inbegriffen Krakau und Warschau. In den Jahren 2007 bis 2009 wurden einige seiner Lieder in Festspielen prämiert, wie z.B. im FEM (Festival von São José do Rio Preto), FAMPOP (Festival von Avaré), BOTUCANTO (Festival von Botucatu) und FASMUSICA (Festival der Universität Santa Marcelina). Derzeit arbeitet er an der Fertigstgellung seiner zweiten CD zusammen mit Leo Bianchini. An dieser CD von Tó und Leo nehmen Chico Cesar, Ricardo Teté und Vinicius Calderoni teil. Außerdem besteht die besondere Teilnahme der Sängerin Tatiana Parra und des argentinischen Trios Aca Seca Trio. Seine Lieder werden auch von neuen Sängern gesungen, wie z.B. 私は1986年に生まれ、その時からいつも「ト」(Tó)と呼ばれている。私が音楽に興 味を持つきっかけとなったのは、幼いころ、車の旅でいつも聴いていたジョビンとジョ ン・ジウベルトの曲だった。7歳のときに、サンタ・クルス学園で初めて音楽の手ほど きをうけ、4年後には、ジンボ・トリオが設立・運営する音楽学校「クラン」に入学 し、そこで参加した幾つかのオーディションが舞台の道を選ぶ励ましとなった。
私は青春期のホルモン衝動に従ってロック・バンドでエレキ・ギターを弾き、高校の学 園祭にも度々参加した。15歳の時、私の父、ルイスの影響でギターを弾き始め、ギタリ ストとしてキンカス・バンド入りをした。私たちは、ヂジャヴァン、シッコ・ブアル ケ、レニネの曲と、私のささいな作品の大半を作詞したヴィニッシウス・カルデローニ が初期に作曲した幾つかの曲も演奏した。私は、このキンカス時代に母国のブラジル音 楽を研究しはじめた。そして、レコード「サマンバイア」を発見し、セザル・カマル ゴ・マリアーノのピアノに魅了された。私は、ただひたすら彼のように弾きたかった。 そこで、私が訪ねたのがピアニストのデボラ・グルジェル女史で、当初、ピアノのレッ スンであるはずのものがこのレコードとなってしまい、また、私のもてる音楽に対する 知識のほぼ全部を教えてくれた彼女は、2年後にスタジオ2で私とともにトリオを結成 したドラムのペルシオ・サピアとベース・ギターのイタマル・コラッソを私に紹介して くれた。高校卒業後、ギターの可能性について私の視野を広げてくれたウリッセス・ ロッシャ氏の下でレッスンを始めた。約2年間にわたって彼から毎週受けた授業を通し て多くを学んだ。
2005年に、サンタ・マルセリーナ大学の作曲・指揮科に入学した。この時、私のレコー ドに集約されている大半の曲は仕上げ段階に達しており、その折に、録音技術者であ り、またレコードの共同製作者であるアドニアス・ジュニオル氏と知り合い、勇気を 持って一気にスタジオへ飛び込んだ。2006年8月から2007年11月の間、最も健全で自然 な形でこのレコードを完成させるために、数多くの素晴らしい友たちが集まった。私 は、これらの啓蒙的友人たちに対してただ感謝あるのみ。
