I chose the title "Revenge Of The Wild Style" because I feel that every time I watch a battle online the music DJ's are playing is getting further and further away from the foundation of our dance, DJ's are speeding up everything as much as they can in an attempt to make it more hype, a large percentage of b-boys can't follow the tempo of a song through their whole throwdown, so with higher BPMs, the higher chance of them being able to hit 'A' beat (note, i did not say, hit 'THE' beat).

Most of this mix falls between 95bpm and 120bpm, which to some may sound 'slow' (faux pas of the day), but really that's the tempo that the dance form b-boyin has always been done to. When music gets above 130bpm it is almost impossible to stay ON beat (not hit A hit) for more than 10 seconds and yet the majority of DJs on the scene are constantly playing music at 130bpm - 140bpm which is killing the dance form.

I have been experimenting the last 5 or 6 years, and I've spun whole b-boy events without pushing the tempo over 115bpm or 120bpm and so many b-boys have thanked me for keeping the FUNK in the music true to it's the roots. I've literally pushed the pitch fader down to 0 from +8 on a few DJs now... STOP DOING THAT!!!
