This is the new Supro Thunderbolt Plus, a reboot of Supro's renowned 1964 Thunderbolt 1x15 combo, gussied up for the modern era with switchable power amp topology that can take it from the original,Class A, 35-watt cathode bias mode, to 45 and 60-watt grid bias modes, unleashing a wealth of power and tone possibilities from its pair of 6L6's. In 35 and 45-watt modes, a 5U4 tube rectifier provides that distinctive vintage sag and coloration, while the 60-watt mode's silicon rectifier gives you pristine, high-headroom cleans and fast transient response, perfect for pedals and effects. Hi and Lo inputs, in conjunction with the volume and tone knobs, offer further control over this combo's unique palette of sounds, and its custom Supro/Eminence fifteen-inch speaker lends it a big, bold bark with excellent clarity and tight low-end. The S6420+ Thunderbolt Plus is housed in a vintage-correct cabinet covered in Supro's signature Blue Rhino Hide tolex, offset by a striking silver-sparkle grille cloth. Like all Supro amps, it's made in the USA, and features custom-designed transformers and matched military-spec tubes.
