DESCRIPTION:
THE SONIC E is a project based on the idea of computers and humans having an equal part in the musical creation process. The leader, Thomas Gunillasson states, "we're standing with one foot in the traditional jazz soil and with the other in the techno cloud", referring to all of the members having a solid jazz background with a deep passion for improvisation, but at the same time displaying a curiosity and lust for exploring the possibilities given by new technology for creating unusual and unpredictable music. The project is premiered in Västerås, Sweden on april 23, 2015.
