-The Winter Curse continues to progress in the Quebec Metal and hardcore scene. Their first demo was released in March of 2003, entitled: "Blessed be the Damned" (which sold out in less than two months). The demo gained acclaim with being in the "Top Five Most Downloaded Metalcore Canadian Songs" on www.mp3.com. On june 1, 2004, they released ‘’the prophecy’’ a 3 songs promo cd, wich got sold out too. On April 2005 a new promo song is rising and it reveals a more brutal, aggressive and faster mosh-metal style. For those who haven't heard The Winter Curse yet, they easily blend metal and mosh hardcore styles into an aggressive combination. The vocals are constantly changing from high pitched screams to deep growls which are accompanied by mid-tempo rhythm songs (including fast metal riff attacks and clean female singing on some songs) that encourage everyone to bang their head and mosh. Hailing from Montreal, QC, this four piece Canadian band sounds like no one else in the area. Heavily influenced by metal bands such as Zao, At the Gates, In Flames, The Black Dahlia Murder and With Dead Hands Rising. The Winter Curse was formed in November 2002, with the rise of the remaining members of "A Dying Season" (RIP 2000-2002), when they met up with their new drummer and guitarist to form TWC. The
original line-up is still : M.Belanger (vocals), Guil Nichols (guitar), Jo Beadoin (drums), mAt Laperle (bass) and Josianne Paris (guest vocals). The Winter Curse have shared the stage with bands such as The Black Dahlia Murder,
Ion Dissonance, Norma Jean, Beloved, Figure Four, Beneath the massacre,
