What is AUDIO WAFFLE?

Sacramento Audio Waffle was founded in January of 2006 as a live performance series focusing on and exploring the boundaries of OUTSIDER SOUND ART....meaning (but not limited to)...noise, audio experimentalism, soundscapes, ambiance, etc..

The series was presented by Thee Instagon Foundation and the Sacramento Lords of Noise..

Each event happened randomly, normally on a Sunday, with the show time starting around noon. Free coffee and waffles were served (as long as they lasted) making it the best Sunday morning event happening in Sacramento and the loudest breakfast in the valley!

Originally Gothic Girl Films (Chad E. Williams and associates) was going to film each show (cheaply!) and produce a DVD. The first five were completed but due to technical and other nonsense we could not finish out the project. However, a compilation of unseen footage that was shot later will be made available soon.

So, maybe I got a little crazy with the extracurricular visuals on this one, but here lies one of the pitfalls of making noise videos...sometimes it's just someone sitting or standing there turning knobs or clicking a mouse. I mean no disrespect to those who are stationary but in terms of film making it is a problem area. But in keeping with the experimental nature of the Audio Waffle I did a lot of "wonder what happens when you do.....THIS!" during the original editing. And, really, who doesn't like smoking skeletons?
