The Tenderfoot have had a quiet time since their debut album was released with a whimper, not a bang, in June '05. They disappeared after a glorious set at 2005 Truckfest in Oxfordshire and have returned to the stage only briefly since; in May '06 at the request of longtime friends and comrades British Sea Power. On that occassion, with the exception of Still Holding My Stomach In, the band treated the assembled audience to an entirely new set of material. Henceforth the band decided to only ever play one gig a year. This annual outing would play host to the brief lives of new songs.

For now then, we would advise that you marvel at Marc's bottom-end in the mightily bonkers Brakes and seek out Joel, the human metronome, drumming as he does for Brighton's premier power-popsters Actress Hands, and lopsided guitar duo -A+M. Rusty departed the ranks shortly after Truckfest '05 to jump through some particularly inviting academic hoops. He is doing exceptionally well and is still a much loved drinking companion. Durrant and Gale Fingers continue to circle an ever growing platter of new material like a pair of indecisive vultures: Where to start? There will, sometime, be a new Tenderfoot record. Fact. Tentative steps are being taken.

We shan't make the same mistakes again. We look forward to making new ones.
