Elsa Hosk Anna Sofie (Stockholm, November 7, 1988) is a Swedish model who has worked for several leading brands such as Dior, Dolce & Gabbana, Tennis Ungaro, H & M, Guess and Lilly Pulitzer. Born and raised in Sweden, Hosk received offers for modeling in high school after his father submitted photographs to various modeling agencies in Sweden when he was 13, 2 began modeling at 14 years.1 I did some modeling in high school but decided to focus primarily on their studies (though he did a remarkable job with Guess and other companies). After graduation, he decided to pursue a career in the Swedish women's basketball league. Hosk commented that the level of play in the Swedish league professional basketball was not on par with the WNBA, and that interest in the sport was not as great in Sweden as in the United States. Although ultimately left professional basketball for modeling, Hosk said that the intense rigor of practices (8 per week to play basketball) and trips helped him prepare for the physical demands of the world of modeling. 5

After playing professional basketball for two years, he began to receive many job offers and soon moved to New York City to begin modeling full time.
