A slideshow of the "Spitfire Salute" concert held at De Montfort Hall, Leicester, on 3rd April 2011, to celebrate 75 years of the Supermarine Spitfire, performed by the Massed Voluntary Bands of the Royal Air Force.

The Supermarine Spitfire prototype had it first flight from Eastleigh Aerodrome near Southampton, on 5th March 1936. The Spitfire continues to stir hearts and minds as part of the Battle of Britain Flight, gracing many state occasions and air displays
