The Sleeping Revolt is Chris Ricci, Brian Neil, Ian Stafford, Andy Bookstaver, and Mike Scardino. They hail from different parts of New Jersey and together have put out a total of four records over four years, with the latest release entitled, "Nightmares" being the most successful, receiving radio play and national exposure for the records' single, "For Tomorrow".

"Whatever happened to seeing people having a good time at a rock show?" says lead singer Chris Ricci. "We want to be able to get up on stage and for forty minutes actually entertain them." It is that philosophy that The Sleeping Revolt prides themselves on. The Sleeping Revolt is nothing if not hard-working. They have been described by club promoters and critics alike as one of the "hardest working independent bands in the area" and attribute that honor to loving what they do. They have played venues from the likes of The Hammerstein Grand Ballroom, Starland Ballroom, and Crocodile Rock Cafe to Maxwell's, Dexter's and Arlene's Grocery and everything in between in the NY, NJ, Metro area and no matter what stage you see them on, you'll always get a rock show to remember. The fans scream the words, the band moves on stage with a synergy that makes you think that they were born to be right there as they cut through their set with precision and wreckless abandon, forty minutes feels like five and before you could blink, everything you thought you knew about New Jersey bands has been forgotten and replaced with a guilty little feeling like you've done something wrong and loved it.

When asked how to describe the band, they will most likely say, "It's just rock and roll.no gimmicks, no catch, no punches pulled."

It feels like home. It breathes. It remembers the accidental genius of a whisper, buzzes like electric sex, and sounds like a torrid summer love affair. It recounts memories as if they were just movies on a screen. Its urgent. Its honest. Its vulnerable. Its sexy. Its alive. Despite all of that its only rock and roll and if you just came for the drinks, you're going to leave knowing the name, glad you traded going THERE to be here.

See what people are saying about The Sleeping Revolt:

"The Sleeping Revolt is a band that puts out music they like and go for deeper meanings as opposed to some other music that is out right now" ~ The Beacon - William Paterson University

"The Sleeping Revolt, a Wayne, New Jersey, band with some solid intentions to take over the rock alternative universe. With their latest release of their EP entitled "Nightmares," USA4real believes TSR has what it takes to make it at the next level. A solid label, a tour, and a little marketing will go a long way allowing the suits to sleep well at night with these guys signed to their label." - USA4Real, Upstream Radio – www.usa4real.com

“The Sleeping Revolt, our guests for the night on loan from New Jersey, brought their IndieRockAlternative a long way to entertain the night life at Maggies. They kicked their set off with James Dean Had It Right, These Hands Don't Lies and The Audition. All upbeat, all delivered with enthusiasm, these guys like what their doing, I can't stress enough how much of a difference that makes when your in a new town and trying to make a good impression. If your not "Into" what your doing, it'll show, these 5 droogs have got a knack for what they do, energetic and just an overall feel of professionalism, well oiled jams they have no doubt practiced many, many hours. They did a cover of Five To One, the last Doors cover I heard was at this very club, it was Mad Yellow Sun and they destroyed it, can't even remember the song they hacked, but this cover made up for it, they took the original and brought it up to date, Chris: Vocals even pulled off a convincing "Morrison", good job. Wiretapped And Brave closed the set nicely, no aftertaste, no clean up needed. I describe their sound as City Powered Radio meets Foo Fighters.if your an IndieRockFan, these guys may be of some interest to you.” Thumb from WNYR Radio – www.allwnyradio.com

“The Sleeping Revolt is an amazing talent and the hardest-working band in New Jersey. Their commitment to their music and success is unsurpassable. This band needs to be signed!”

"What Dreams Are Made of Originality?" - The Sleeping Revolt

Wayne, New Jersey will no longer have to sleep at night knowing they have rockstars "For Tomorrow" in their area code. The Sleeping Revolt is working hard toward the same dream that every serious band strives to live. The one thing that separates this band from the rest is their original capability to score a simply bad ass sound.

There are so many copy cats out there anymore. Coldplay wannabee U2 in the hood with some whoring chance they could duplicate the profound careers of such astounding originality. I just love how these mainstream artists get by with stealing classics to make their own. Kid Rock and Limp Biscuit have to copy a cover song just to make a buck. (Grow some balls would you? I won't touch Hip-Hop today.) Seriously, this is why we can rock out with TSR. I mean maybe they resemble Foo Fighters feeling Sublime, while stranded in the middle of a Soundgarden looking "For Tomorrow" to find the Doors back to the other side after reaching into those powerful places, where inspiration strikes real chords taking perfect notes that echo a sound like no other. Yeah, that's one way to describe The Sleeping Revolt.

Another way, Chris Ricci is lead Vocals, Brian Neil on Guitar and Vocals, Ian Stafford on Guitar and Vocals, Andy Bookstaver on Bass and Vocals, and Mike Scardino on drums. Look Out! These five young men are The Sleeping Revolt. We will hear their name again, on the radio, performing LIVE near our hometowns. Eyes wide open from the TSR sound.

Check them out at the Millennium Music Conference in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania February 15-17.
