While maintaining top cover act status with fans everywhere, the band made a smooth transition into becoming a successful original act. After adding original songs into their cover show performances and gaining positive response, the band wrote, produced, and released, "GO", the band's first full-length album, which was released in May of 2004. The album release marked a turning point in the band's career as musical artists and allowed the band to gain countless new fans that previously were unfamiliar with the group. "GO" not only sold out, but it solidified the respect that the band has earned with fans, peers, and the music industry.
The band's highly anticipated sophomore album "Chronicles of the Garden State" was released nationwide in April of 2007 to critical acclaim. The band's star power shined bright with its "high energy, modern arena-rock" and was gobbled up fans everywhere. The Benjamins have since received airplay from local and college radio stations in the North East including: G ROCK, KC 101, and Sirius Radio. The Benjamins have opened for national acts including: Cheap Trick, Goo Goo Dolls, Sponge, Third Eye Blind, Lost Prophets, Lifehouse and Drowning Pool. The band has also performed live on the FOX & Friends Morning Show, News 12 NJ, and WPLJ Radio on the Scott and Todd Morning Show. With an aggressive grassroots-to-big-stages drive and no signs of slowing down, The Benjamins continue to set the trend of an era and "rock out" for fans old and new! The band is currently writing and recording new original music set to be released in early 2011.
