The Silent Years - Climb on my Back by Ian Topple - Video
PUBLISHED:  Oct 20, 2008
DESCRIPTION:
For The Silent Years' new album "The Globe," the band invited other young talent to collaborate on their vision, combining sonic and visual art to create one fully realized representation of the band's concept for The Globe.

"I chose this story because I wanted to do a narrative that people could relate to. I was inspired by a difficult time in my life and wanted a chance to get away and go somewhere else. Based on this idea, I wanted to show two people struggling in their environments and having someone take them away from their problems.
A lot of challenges came up during the process. Time was definitely an issue because I had a full time job while working on the video at the same time.
Finding the time to work on the video was challenging. As always, I had
technical problems. I had issues trying to figure out how certain things should be animated and how to illustrate the backgrounds but over time I figured out a way to get over them. My parents were also getting divorced so trying to do this during a rough time in my life
was hard to handle. Despite all these difficult obstacles, I was able
to finish the project.
I went to The Rhode Island School of Design." by Ian Topple
