The Sarcastics:

Reborn, Revamped, Regurgitated

The Sarcastics formed in July of 1996 (then know as The Verbs). The members were Jody Sarcastic-Vocals Oodge-Guitar, Scotty (Bedhead) Bass, we didn't have a drummer. We practiced and played our first show in my backyard on July 27th 1996, withThe Mud City Manglers. Ted from Mud City played drums for us at this show. The next day we changed our name to The Sarcastics and recruited local pains in the ass Johnny Worthless(bass) and Steve Mancici (drums). We practiced a couple times (most without Steve). We played a wedding (no kidding) and a show in August with this line-up, and never heard from Steve again. Donald Kilgore took Steve's place on drums and was ousted after one practice. We told Johnny he was our new drummer like it or not,and so the new line-up looked like this: Jody Sarcastic-Vocals,Oodge-Bass, Scotty-Guitar, Johnny- Drums. A few weeks later on September 17th we recorded a five song demo called "This is not Self Titled", which pretty much sucked, mainly because we were together less than a month. We would later go into the studio, to record two songs "Really Gotta" and "Joey" which appeared on the Pop-Tard Records comp. This line-up of (Jody, Oodge, Scotty, and John) lasted until May 30th 1997. Scotty became very weird (this was his Murdock phase) and quits the band right after he was ask to leave. We played a show with Metal Marc (Locked-On) on bass, he was never in the band, he is just a good friend who helped us out. Oodge went to guitar when we recruited two new members in July of '97 they were Dr. Tone E. Bonix (bass) and Jorge Shazbutt (guitar). We now had a stronger "two guitar" sound with this line up, until January 1998. The Doctor left for Harrisburg to find a cure for spinal meningitis (honest). Enter Brain Vandelay (Behary) on bass where he remained until June 12th 1999 when The Sarcastics officially broke-up. Everyone went on to do their own thing, John joined a metal band, Brain became a school teacher and Jorge well, your guess is as good as mine. Oodge became Jesus Chris Superstar and joined the Shakin' Shadows which he is still a member of today. As for myself I was a bit detained in an unstable mental capacity (I was misanthropic). John started a band in the spring of 2000 called Worst Case Scenario, and he ask me and Chris to join. Worst Case Scenario lasted two shows and one riot (the imfamous Taco Bell Riot) after that show Worst Case Scenario was no more. January 2001(2K1) the three original Sarcastics me, Chris and John "decided to revive" the band. We got Neil from Worst Case Scenario to play second guitar and Nick Rider (OX-45) to play bass. Two days later, Nick is out the band and ex-Gravity's Revenge bassist Tram is in the band. February 2001 the line-up is as follows: Jody Sarcastic-Vocals Chris Superstar-Guitar/b.vox Neil (Lil' Buckaroo)- Guitar Tram-Bass and Johnny Worthless-Drums

Now with the 10 year anniversary approaching, three original members, Jody, Chris, and Scotty along with two new guys(AlieNate and Chuck Pockets.I mean Boob) are rehearsing the old stuff and plans to write a few new songs and do some shows. Jody Sarcastic 2006
