Music saved Samantha Roberts’ life. Leading a nomadic lifestyle which has forced to her to pack up and abandon homes all across the southern United States, her travels have found her in Houston, Texas, Littleton, Colorado, Tulsa, Oklahoma and Midland, Texas. Never establishing herself in one place more than four years, music became her only solace and her best friend. In her own way, her songs are her way of giving back to an art form that has given her so much. Playing guitar since the age of four, music quickly became the only true universal in her world.

Samantha Roberts’ music comes from within, closing her eyes and shoveling all of the emotions in her soul into song, she communicates all of the passion of an independent woman in the modern world reminiscent of a contemporary Janis Joplin. Recording only in sporadic spurts since the age of 16, she has produced only one CD of original material as of now but is currently in the process of re-recording a number of older songs for an upcoming release. Diving into her element, Samantha Roberts has found inspiration not only in her biggest influence, people, but in the deep voiced alternative rock of 90’s bands like Live & Bush and relentless urge to rock provided by Led Zeppelin.

Rejecting the industry standards of today, Samantha Roberts rallies against the beauty driven pop idols and high demand on looks set on destroying the music business and driving talent away. Her music is not motivated by money but rather, the joy of doing it. A seasoned performer with over 250 shows under her belt, from coffeehouses to bars all over Texas, Samantha Roberts is your classic troubadour in every sense of the word, never relying on the importance of image, traveling place to place

with a guitar strapped to her back and a song in her heart. Samantha Roberts goes where the music takes her.
