DESCRIPTION:
Way back in 1998 (that was 18 years ago) I was working for a promotion/booking agency in Minneapolis, when a then 18 year old kid showed up with his guitar in hand, and his band to audition, looking for representation. That kid was ROSS WILLIAM PERRY. Even then his guitar prowess was impressive. This 15 and a half minute clip is from that first day. The very first time I met him or had ever seen him play. needless to say he was impressive; obviously out of the SRV school of blues rock guitar.
I am very proud of the fact that nearly 20 years later we are still friends, I've helped him out when I could. I've watched him grow as a musician and a man. He is one of the best people I know. Obviously a little ruff around the edges (at the time of this clip) Ross is truly a gifted player, and his style, though still rooted in (Stevie's) Blues Rock, has expanded to encompass much more.
