LTCL Piano Recital (Run through before exam) - Video
PUBLISHED:  Dec 14, 2016
DESCRIPTION:
I took the LTCL diploma exam on 13 October, 2016. The video was a full rehearsal taken a week before the recital in the exam room.
This video, honestly, was not the best performance of the program because I was not getting comfortable with the piano at that moment. As you could see, or listen, the piano sonata was not well executed while the other pieces were better.
I end up managed to control far better than what I did in this video and got an 89 out of 100, which is a distinction.
It was a precious opportunity for me to study pieces composed by various composers in different musical periods.
In my opinion, the best way to deal with this stressful performance (as the exam fee was quite a lot) is to simply feel the music and get connected with both the piano and the composer. You will then know how to perform them like a "professional".

Here's the program:

L.V. Beethoven - Piano Sonata no. 3 in C major, Op. 2 no. 3 (00:11)
J.S. Bach - Prelude and Fugue in E-flat Major, BWV 852 (27:05)
F. Chopin - Polonaise in A-flat Major, Op. 53 (32:20)
S. Rachmaninoff - Prelude in G minor, Op. 23 no.5 (39:24)

Sorry for the poor sound quality of the recording.
Please feel free to ask any questions regarding to the performance or the recital.
