Gibson Les Paul Junior 1988 in Drop B - Video

DESCRIPTION:
An awesome colleague of mine asked me to set up this guitar so that it could be tuned to a drop B and still retain a semblance of playability left. So I had a go so that my awesome colleague wouldt ravish me and this is how it ended up. My playing in this vid to show the guitar is shit and I know it so commenting on it is redundant. I stole alle the riffs, mostly from Taliban Airways. The guitar should maybe have had even thicker strings on, but since the guitar had its neck and bridge set up for this kind of tuning he can just go up a coulple of gauges at the next string change and it will handle it. THe problem before was that the action was to low and the truss rod to tight so it wouldn't take thick strings. But since it is a les paul you can do pretty much anything you want to it and it'll take it. This particular Junior was made in Nashville in 1988 and I think its aged well. But no one should think that this guitrar is much alike a normal les paul, the feel of the the thing with its flat top and simple neck is wery different, at least to me it is. Its a much lighter and agile instrument, but with a limited array of sounds with only one singecoil in the bridge position. But if you are into that kind of simplistic guitar this is the best one!
