DESCRIPTION:
Magical things happen when you encourage friendships between students of different abilities! Nonprofit organization Good Friend has been devoted to creating autism awareness, teaching acceptance of differences, and fostering empathy for students with ASD among their typically-developing peers since 2007.

In 2013, co-founders Chelsea Budde and Denise Schamens collaborated with hip hop group The Figureheads (Greg Marshall, Jeremy Bryan, and Dave Olson) to create this original song. Noelle Budde, Evelyn Barta, and Regan Carter also contribute to vocals. The video was filmed by Scott Dahm at Hide House Creative (Bay View, Wis.) with the students from the cast of Good Friend's short film of the same title, released in May, 2014. Michael Foucault assisted. Tim Miller and Denise Schamens worked post-production.
