DESCRIPTION:
The winners of the New Zealand 2011 Smoke Free Rock Quest were The Peasants. This Nelson band from Garin College were also the runners up in the 2010 competition as the Peasants of Eden. . 2012 saw the band produce the video Letting Go which was hoped by fans to be the first of many.
Nelson based Mainland Television had captured a few of the bands live performances over the last 2 years and Chrissie Small delved through computer archives to edit together a visual tribute of the band captured over this time. This is their song Let it Go. This filmed performance was the last for the band at the Nelson A and P show in Dec 2012 after they announced they were breaking up earlier in Nov. Although gone this band will never be forgotten, especially for their professional sound and on stage unity that shone in a band that was working above and beyond their young years. While the band has now gone, their songs will always remain....
