ABOUT PCE & STOCK

One-third of the up and coming rap group, Port City Entourage (PCE), STOCK has quickly built a body of work and now emerging as a solo artist.

Born and raised in Mobile, Alabama, STOCK began freestyling and recording his own music at a young age. Music being a big influence on the city's culture, STOCK was immediately drawn to the art. He grew up listening to some of southern hip-hop's greatest including artists such as Outkast, UGK, 8 Ball & MJG, TI, Hot Boyz and No Limit. With such a diverse group of artists driving his passion, STOCK began to create his own unique sound, which still translates into his music today.

STOCK's music was put on hold for a short while as he focused on playing college football immediately after high school. In 2002, he left Mobile to play for the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He continued making music every so often and shared it with friends and teammates, who encouraged him to do more.

In 2008, STOCK came upon a chance meeting with DJ Bishop and Montana White of HitMan DJs who both listened to his first single, "Bag Money", which featured close friend and fellow PCE member, MAWK. Impressed by what they heard, DJ Bishop and White encouraged STOCK to further pursue a music career.

Realizing his potential, STOCK continued recording and eventually worked with MAWK and COKE to form PCE. The group released its first mixtape, Hungry For It, Vol. 1 in 2010, followed by Hungry For It Vol. 2 in 2012. Both mixtapes were immediate hits and produced singles that received radio play on stations in Mobile, Birmingham and Sirius Satellite Radio.

In the coming months, STOCK will release his first solo mixtape, Chess Not Checkers. He continues to work with PCE by supporting solo projects for COKE and MAWK as well as planning for another group mixtape somewhere in the near future.
