The Kax formed in 2003 in Los Angeles. Since then, they've played countless shows in LA's best venues such as The Viper Room, The Spaceland or The Troubadour.
The Kax released their self titled debut album late 2007. Their first release stands out. Both retro and modern, it is reminiscent of early U2, Gang of Four, or Elvis Costello.
LA's premiere Rock station, Indie 103.1 played regularly Kax songs "So do We", "Summertime Daze" and "The Light" on Check One.Two, a show that profiles LA's hottest new bands when the album was released.
The song Summertime Daze has been heard on hit MTV series "The Hills", and the band's songs have been licensed in videos worldwide, such as Bobby Martinez's "Mixed Tape".
The trio, composed of Justin Clay (vocals, guitar), Stephan Versini (bass) and Andrew Grant (drums) delivers a captivating and fresh post-punk signature sound.
Recorded on tape, the album was produced and engineered by Scott Gilman (Franck Black, Avenged Sevenfold.) and features two songs performed with singer/songwriter Sierra Swan.

The Kax debut album is available for download on iTunes and most online record stores.
