"Beautiful, erotic, mesmerizing… is everything that comes to mind when listening to Sierra Swan. Her voice will take you on an emotional journey."
- Linda Perry

Singer/songwriter Sierra Swan forces you to listen. Dave Stewart, Ringo Starr, Frank Black and Chad Hugo all have sought her knockout vocals.

Sierra Marie Swan was born in the San Fernando Valley with music in her blood. Marlu Been Swan, Sierra's mother, was a dancer for the Copacabana and
Planet Swan, her sister, is a singer/songwriter. Her father Billy Swan had his first hit when he was sixteen with Lover Please. During Sierra's many nights backstage when Billy played rhythm guitar for Kris Kristofferson, she conjured up her own dreams of becoming a professional musician.

As a teenager, Sierra listened to Prince, Queen, Oingo Boingo, Mozart and
Patsy Cline. It was Patsy Cline who inspired her singing career. When she was 16 she began playing at L.A. coffeehouses and at age 18 landed a residency at Goldfinger's in Hollywood.

In 1997 Sierra joined the alternative rock band Dollshead. Two years later Sierra signed with Atlantic Records as a solo artist. She went on to work with Chad Hugo from The Neptunes with whom she co-wrote Sex is Keeping us Together and Nuclear Letdown along with Anne Previn.

Ladyland, Sierra's first solo album, a deeply personal record, has smooth glam rock swagger. It features guest vocals by Aimee Mann and additional production work by Bill Bottrell. The album was produced on Interscope by Grammy Award's nominee Linda Perry. Sierra sights Linda as being the most intuitive producer she has worked with and the most supportive person in her musical life.

After Ladyland, Sierra produced a beautiful, haunting EP entitled Coward. Queen of the Valley, Sierra's 80's pop homage to her Valley Girl roots, was released in 2008. Sierra produced Girl who Cried Wolf, her third album, which will be released September 2009 online.

Sierra Swan embodies the true spirit of a musical artist. She's had major label deals and major label drops. (The exact deal with Atlantic Records as Tori Amos had along with the same drop.) Through it all Sierra doesn't miss a beat. Recently she opened for James Blunt and sang vocals with Daniel Powter on their world tours. For Sierra's next project she will be recording a cover EP of country western standards with her father Billy Swan at the legendary Sun Studio in Memphis.
