Sax virtuoso James Carter opens up the set with an original Crusaders-tune (written by Joe Sample), which is on their 1976 album "The Crusaders - Free As The Wind" (where saxophonist Wilton Felder used also a wah wah pedal to electrify his sound a bit). In Hannover Carter features bass legend *Ralphe Armstrong from Detroit, whose credits are going way back to the second edition of the Mahavishnu Orchestra and their by George Martin (Beatles producer!) produced legendary "Apocalypse" album (1974).
