Established in Anchorage, AK in 2005, The Hoons are an original American rock powerhouse. Every sound emitted by The Hoons sounds distinctively like The Hoons. Their songs range from ambient to angular, aggressive to soothing, but above all, always catchy. The songwriting is honest, earnest vocals are the first element to grab your attention. Then, the layers of superb musicianship begin to unfold upon repeat listening and you begin to understand the depth of this band. In a live setting, The Hoons deliver an injection of electricity and charisma to their music that readily infects the audience with enthusiasm and leaves the whole place a sweaty awful mess.

Relocating to Portland, Or in 2012, The Hoons are a band that has been around the block a time or two. While in Anchorage, the band was voted both Best Rock Band and Best Indie Band in 2011 and 2012 in the Anchorage Press. The Hoons played on Warped Tour in 2008 and have shared the stage with such notable bands as: Everclear, The Presidents of the United States of America, Papa Roach, MXPX, Eve 6, Lit, Motion City Soundtrack, Portugal. The Man, Story of the Year, 36 Crazy Fists and Agent Orange.
