Georgia Satellites - In the Land of Salvation and Sin (Full Album) 1989 - Video
PUBLISHED:  Jan 11, 2013
DESCRIPTION:
A highly underrated band that arrived about 10 years too late to catch the wave of southern rock's popularity, Georgia Satellites remains an unknown juggernaut of the genre. They may be considered a one-hit-wonder due to their song "Keep Your Hands To Yourself", but that is hardly close to the bands best work, a title which goes to "In the Land of Salvation and Sin" (1989). An eclectic mix of blues-rock (I Dunno), hard rock (Shake that Thing), southern rock (All Over But The Cryin'), country (Days Gone By) and even bluegrass with overlapped vocals ala "The Weight" by "The Band" for good measure (Another Chance), it is a must hear for anyone claiming to by an aficionado of southern rock.
